Recently retired from leading the band Blazin Fiddles, and former host of “Travelling Folk” on BBC Radio Scotland, Bruce has had an energetic impact on the traditional music scene in Scotland.
THE ROAD TO TYRANNY by Bruce MacGregor
This tune was inspired by a quote from Lord Neuberger, a former president of the U.K. Supreme Court who had grave warnings for us all when a bill was forced through allowing the government to breach its obligations under international treaties. It also deprived the individual citizen the right to take the government to court. “Once you deprive individuals, people, of the right to go to court, to challenge the government, you are in a dictatorship, you are in a tyranny.”
